Job Title (05) REF: TS/HR/ PMGT/03: DREAMS Data Entry Clerk (03
Classification: Contract, Full-time
Reports to: DREAMS Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Salary: Commensurate with training and experience
Duty Station: USAID Local Partner Health Services Ankole Project (Ibanda, Mbarara and Bushenyi clusters)
Directly Supervises: None
Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure timely and correct entry of all DREAMS data into the Uganda DREAMS-OVC Tracking System (UDOTS). The DREAMS Data Entry Clerk will carry out other duties relating to updating and validating DREAMS service data in the registers, provide support to peers on data entry using tablets, hard copy data archiving, ensure adherence to the data management SOPs and work closely with the M&E Specialist to ensure effective and efficient data entry into the online capture system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
I. Ensure all DREAMS spaces have the standard and current tools for data capture and reporting;
1. 2. Verify the accuracy of data on the service recipient charts/records before entry into the online
2. DOTS database
3. Carry out prompt and accurate data entry of all DREAMS struck data into the Uganda DREAMS tracking system
4. Ensure no accumulation of backlogs of data un-entered in the UDOTS
5. Support the DREAMS peers in the use of tablets to enter data
6. Lead the process of monthly data cleaning, and harmonization in collaboration with program officers, AGYWs peers group leaders, facilitators, and sub-county DREAMS coordinators
7. Ensure routine and timely update of DREAMS service registers
8. Run routing crofts as May be required by the project team
9. Support completeness of DREAMS reporting by identifying gaps and addressing reporting challenges as they occur.
10. Maintain data entry requirements and standards by following data program SOPs.
11. Ensure proper filing and storage of office data both manually and electronically
12. Participate in the retrieval of information from the system as and when required.
13. Ensure confidentiality of the DREAMs data at all times.
14. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Job Qualifications
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS: DREAMS Data Entry Clerk
Minimum Academic Qualification: Diploma in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Population Studies, Business Computing, Business Statistics OR Information Technology. A Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields will be an added advantage.
Additional Training: Training in M&E or in Uganda DREAMS tracking system.
Required Experience and Exposure
1 years’ experience in data entry, preferably on a DREAMS Program.
Experience in a health setting with knowledge of managing PMTCT, HIV Carc & Treatment and I-ICT data is an added advantage.
Special Knowledge
Knowledge of statistical applications will be an added advantage

Key Skills
Computer knowledge in database management, spreadsheet, email, etc.
Skills in report writing
Familiar with public health facilities and willing in serving in such settings.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Good communication skills
Good records management skills

Accuracy, Integrity, Confidentiality, Team player and Ability to work under mental and physical stress, and Empathy.
