Job Details

A consultancy company is seeking to hire an experienced HR officer with strategic and people management skills.

Job Purpose

The post holder will be accountable for the business strategic development, HR administration, resourcing, succession planning, learning and development, reward, and employee relations for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate in the organization of recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.

2. Ensure that Company HR policies are communicated to and well understood and implemented by all staff/consultants, and determine/provide training as required in HR related concepts, issues and procedures.

3. Coordinate the performance management process, in accordance with company’s policy.

4. Conduct training of staff in the performance management process and skills.

5. Implement and evaluate training programmes for staff development in accordance with company’s policy and available budgets.

6. Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation advising management and staff of significant changes and updating policies and procedures as required.

7. Develop and implement staff retention processes to minimize attrition rates.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology or relevant degree from a recognized University / Institution.

2. A Certificate in Administrative Officer’s Law Course from LDC or post-graduate qualification in HR Management or equivalent is an added advantage.

3. A member of Human Resource Manager’s Association of Uganda

4. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR Management in a reputable organization.

5. He/she should be willing to travel and work in the project areas.
