We are looking for a self-motivated individual, who is also a committed team player to strengthen our staff capacity by filling the following vacant position.

Job Title: Team Leader-Microbiology Section (01)

Reports to: Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Team Leader-Microbiology will primarily be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate microbiological testing of samples submitted and report results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily microbiological analysis

• Responsible for review of all raw data for microbiological analysis i.e. raw materials, packing materials, finished products, stability cleaning validation samples etc. according to the procedures and standard

• Ensure adequate identification and segregation of test samples to avoid mix-up and cross contaminationsamples,

• Review all documents related to preparation of different cultures, culture handling and incubation

• Review all documents related to sterilization of instruments, apparatus etc

• Review all documents related to environment monitoring in all production areas and also in microbiology area

• Responsible for maintaining all documentations used in Microbiology department

• Manage the allocation of work to the officers in microbiology section

• Any other task as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• The ideal candidate for the Team Leader- Microbiology Section job must hold a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Laboratory, Biotechnology, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution

• At least Four (4) years’ experience in Microbiology analysis

• Knowledge of good laboratory and analytical practices

• Good analytical, reporting and communication skills

• Good team player

• Must be computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Hands on managerial/supervisory competencies with capacity to multi-task and deliver results efficiently with minimal supervision
